I hope you are enjoying your time in Spain, my birth land. We were there last month visiting my Mum who also lives near Alicante ( Santa Pola ) . The weather was indeed summery, but apparently now it's beginning to get cold , according to my Mum.
I am not sure if I can make the Moot but I'll try!

Weather isn’t too cold, but very noticeably cooler than the last time we were here (end of August). Today, for example, the sun is out, there’s a blue sky and it’s much much warmer outside than it is in the house.
Will have to pick your brain about places to visit fir when we’re out here again.
