TSMM Newsletter August '24
Check out our MOOTS, Lessons in TAROT & OCCULT and WORlD GODDESS DAY!
Greetings from the School of Mystery and Magick.
Here’s some information about what you can expect from us this month.
Our MOOT which should be on the 9th of August has been moved to the following week. Apologies, but this is because of a diary clash.
So, on Friday the 16th we will look at the Psychology of Cults.
We will delve deep into the psychology of cults and explore some of the most infamous cults in history. From the Manson Family to Heaven's Gate, we will examine what draws people into these groups and why some individuals are willing to go to extreme lengths for their leaders. Join us as we explore the dark side of human behaviour and uncover the inner workings of these world-famous cults.
We will also discuss the tactics used by cult leaders to manipulate and control their followers, as well as the psychological processes that can make people vulnerable to indoctrination. By understanding the mechanisms in cults, we can better protect ourselves and others from falling prey to these dangerous organizations.
If you receive this newsletter you will get your Zoom invite on the morning of Friday 16th.
Remember its FREE to attend these online Moots.
Whilst on the topic of Moots, I’d like to remind you about the over 40 hours of moot recordings now available to subscribers,

ADVANCE NOTICE
Some of you will remember that prior to COVID and lockdown we were actively involved in the World Goddess Day Celebrations, supporting events in Cornwall.
Well, this year, we are pleased to announce our support of World Goddess Day and the event at St Nectans Glen.
As you can see from the above flier it’s going to be a great day with all events being FREE to those who attend. The ONLY charge will be for those wishing to go down to the Waterfall.
If you’ve not been before, its a great day and St Nectans Glen is a rather special place. OK, its a bit of a trek from the car park, but the walk through the woods is well worth it.
This Goddess Day will be focussed on Elen of the Ways. In myth she was a horned goddess, and whilst there is much discussion by scholars about her origin, she is nontheless a potent symbol.
What makes this celebration more special is that it is built around the story, myth or fable of Elen and focuses on the statue of her recently completed and installed at St Nectans. Elen has been adopted by The Glen as a kind of patron Goddess.
There will be some craft stalls too.
The day will also raise funds for Prickles and Paws an animal charity and the Womens Refuge in Cornwall.
So, if you’re able to visit come and say hello.
