Goddess Day - St Nectans Glen, Cornwall

World Goddess Day was started by Brazilian author Claudiney Prieto in 2014, who wrote …

“The goal of the World Goddess Day project is to grant the Goddess one day of visibility to share her many myths, stories and worshipping diversity, so everyone will remember or will realize that the first religion of humanity was the worship of the Goddess,” - Prieto

The date of the event was set as the first Sunday in September.

In the past, The School of Mystery and Magick have been pleased to have been associated with this event in Cornwall and support the organisers who were linked to the Priestesses of Kernow.

This year we will be carrying on this tradition which will again be at St Nectans Glen, near Tintagel, Cornwall.

Our Next Moot

Our next Zoom Moot will be on the 13th of September.

We will be talking about The Necronomicon.

The Necronomicon is the most famous of a series of texts dreamed up by the author HP Lovecraft. Others include the Book of Eibon, the Pnakotic Manuscripts, “the Cultes des Goules of Comte d’Erlette, the Unaussprechlichen Kulten of von Junzt, and Ludvig Prinn’s hellish De Vermis Mysteriis” (Haunter of the Dark).

So, whilst we will be talking about a “fictional” book, we will be looking at the idea of grimoires and the possibility of the “power” they possess.
